My Vision of a Heart Wave

This past weekend I was thinking and visioning about what I’m up to in the world.  By “visioning” I mean taking some time to slow down, turn inward, connect to my heart and open up to new insights, images and ideas that come from someplace other than my mind.  It’s a practice that I do to reconnect with what’s truly important to me and see where I’m headed.

This past Saturday as I contemplated my heart, a beautiful image presented itself in my mind’s eye.

It was an image of a heart wave – a wave of heart energy, so warm and loving – coming across the earth, flowing through connections between all things and lighting people up.

Here, the heart represents goodness, connection and love.  We naturally know those feelings.  We know goodness when we see it and experience it.  We innately know when someone acts from a place of kindness and love.  And we know when someone doesn’t.  And in this heart wave image that came to my mind, people’s hearts were opened and moved because of the energy of the heart.  Living from your heart changes your life.

Later that day, as the afternoon sun grew gold, I sat by the bank of a river and recorded a video about my vision.  It’s a short one – less than 2 minutes long.

The warmth of the vision was alive within me as I sat and spoke about the image I saw.  I was really feeling the power of heart energy flowing across this planet of ours, touching hearts and lighting them up.

It’s a bit of an “eek!” moment to share this with you because the vision of a powerful heart wave is really coming from my heart.  And I want to share it with you.  No holds barred, my heart to yours.

Yours in wildness~~
Lisa

p.s.  Posting this video also is an “eek!” moment since it’s the first video I’ve posted here on my blog, and the moment I decided to record the video came up spontaneously with no planning!  No re-takes.  This was the one and only one.  Eeek!  And I'm glad to be doing it!!

Today’s Tiny Miracles

In my line of work, more often than not I’m talking with someone about how they want their life to be different.  We spend time getting really clear on what the “different” looks like, feels like, what makes it so juicy that the person can’t help but go for it, and what is needed to actually create the changes in their life.

We want our careers, our lives, our relationships to be different.
We want things to be better
We want our daily lives to be more aligned with our values and who we are.

We want things to be more fulfilling and more meaningful.
We want things to be more fun, more challenging.

We want to grow and learn.
We want to contribute.
We want to feel more alive.

I think this is AWESOME.  It’s one reason I love love love what I do.  I get to work with people who are striving / willing / seeking / desiring / acting for positive change in their lives, in their careers, in their relationships, and in the world.  I believe that makes the world a better place.  It’s what I’m passionate about, and I am so grateful to be able to do it.

And….

Today is an infinitely blessed day.
Just as it is.

So many things are right at this moment.

You are alive.
You are breathing.
Today you will experience countless different things.
You can feel a whole range of emotions.
You can smile.
You can hug someone.
These are miracles.

I give deep thanks for these endless tiny miracles.
I am so grateful.

And I still want the world to be better.

What are you grateful for today?

Yours in wildness~~

Good Stuff: Wild Heart on the HeSo Project!

Earlier this summer I was digitally introduced to Tracy Young, the founder of The HeSo Project (short heart & soul -- cool, huh?!).  Tracy followed her wild heart and quit a job that was crushing her heart and soul -- she embarked on the HeSo project to document her experiments with leading an authentic, happy life and making a living doing what she loves to do.

I so appreciate Tracy's writing that bares her heart & soul and her adventures in authentic joyful living.  She is a woman who went into the unknown to find her passion and is sharing her story with others.  She inspires me!

I recently met Tracy in person over pizza and beer on the streets of NYC and we found out that we have a lot in common :)  Tracy interviewed me for her awesome blog, digging deeper into how I followed my own heart & soul from the life of an unhappy lawyer to that of wild heart and coach living a life that is true to me.
